Verification of the Machine Readable Zone
Passport-Checker verifies the integrity of the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) which is integral part of all modern passports and id-documents. The MRZ is developed by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and accepted international standard. This means that the same checking procedure is applied for all international Machine Readable Travel Documents!!

Checking Procedure
The checking procedure is simple, fast and reliable. The user fills in a number of fields in a comprehensive mask. After completion, the System shows within seconds the correct composition of the MRZ including a number of check-digits.
If the upper and the lower lines do not correspond with the MRZ on the presented passport, the document at hand is a forgery!

Record Keeping
Passport-Checker will automatically establish and print a report to be filed in the account opening dossier and to be signed by the responsible executive. This, to adhere to the Record Keeping obligations recommended by the FATF.
